For writers with a finished draft of their manuscript seeking to polish their work for self-publication or for submission to agents and editors, I offer the following editorial services:

Developmental editing—useful for a first or second draft. I’ll read your manuscript and provide detailed feedback in an editorial letter, along with in-line comments throughout the manuscript to improve high-level structural, character development, and plot issues.

Line edits—addresses prose and continuity issues in a manuscript with a solid plot in place. I’ll make line-level edits throughout the manuscript to enhance the voice, descriptions, dialogue, prose, and any minor plot holes throughout.

Proofreading—for almost-finished manuscripts. I’ll go through your book with a fine-tooth comb to ensure it is grammatically correct, makes sense throughout, and that it’s ready to publish. Typically only self-published authors need this service, as traditional publishers will do this step with you once they buy your book.
